Several years ago, I prayed that God would give me prophetic dreams. Not long afterward, I had two unusual dreams that stayed with me. I cannot prove that either dream was prophetic, and I do not believe that frogs or termites have one fixed spiritual meaning. I share these dreams because they led me back to biblical truths about trusting God, working faithfully, and receiving rest as His gift. A note about dreams: Paul tells believers not to treat prophecies with contempt, but to test them all and hold on to what is good ( 1 Thessalonians 5:20–21 ). I believe that principle also applies to spiritual impressions. For me, Scripture—not the dream itself—is the authority that tests the lesson.
