The Lord Will Provide

I took a job for a short time at a local church to lead worship.  While I was leading there, I felt very tumultuous in my heart, and God reminded me of Psalm 23: "I lead you beside still waters."  (not into tumultuous waters).  So I stepped down.  The next morning after resigning, God reminded me again of his verse in Psalms: "Sing a new song unto the Lord."  I looked it up and it continued,  "tell of God's wonderful acts to the people (congregation)".  This confirmed that I was obeying the Lord by trying to bring in new worship songs the spirit had written through me and new band members.  What Satan means for evil towards us, and what others mean for evil towards us, God means to turn the negative event into an event that is for our benefit/good.  So for now, the Lord kept on saying, "The Lord will Provide" because I needed the income, and it turns out that a member of the church saw the good inside of me and he added me onto his company as an employee, even with part time abilities, PRAISE THE LORD.  And God bless them, they are great people!

Lying for a good cause

 When I grew up I hated lying and I never wanted to lie ever. As I got older I realized that sometimes I lied for a good cause. And then I thought what is the moral stance of God on that issue? Well in King David's story we see that King David lied to another king that would have killed him otherwise. He pretended to be insane and let drool drip down onto his beard so that he could save his own skin. He also lied to King Saul when he evaded him. He also took bread from the priests and ate and drank so that he could survive. God considered all of these things righteous. For God had said that David was faithful in everything that he did except for in the case of Uriah the hittite. There are more examples but God does allow us to lie if it is for a good cause. Now he wants us to try to be honest at all times, but sometimes we are in an unfair game.
