Malachi 1v2 Xref romans 9v13. In the Book of Malachi we read about priests who have been corrupt. In the same way in the Book of Romans the priests were still corrupt as Malachi was written only 400 years prior to the time of Jesus christ. Concerning this corruption the Apostle Paul makes an argument saying that those born of Abraham do not always inherit Abraham's promises. But just as God loved Jacob and hated Esau or more so eat them the nation God chose Jacob or Israel because they had done God's Will and obeyed the lord. He rejected Esau and the nation of Edom because they wanted to destroy Jacob and the nation of Israel just like Cain destroyed abel. But this time God saved Israel and Jacob.
